I have known Sharlene for eight months. She came recommended to me by my chiropractor. I don’t know about you but I’m always nervous when I start with someone new. When I started with her I had constant low back pain, some neck pain, and knee pain. I was doing Yoga and Zumba at the time and thought I was getting into shape, but I needed something more. I was impressed with her from the very beginning. She knows her stuff and is sympathetic to what you need from her for pressure and intensity. I started seeing Sharlene about every 2-3 weeks thereafter. It has now been 7 months and I am feeling much better. I no longer have the pain. I now go to maintain my health and have even added cupping to my scheduled appointments. Cupping doesn’t have to be the red blotchy marks you may have seen during the Olympics on Michael Phelps (although I’m sure you could get that kind if you wanted it!) It is a gentle movement over already massaged muscles. I have even had it done on my face! Ahhh! Relaxing. She has especially used this on my knee that was popping out of its socket and it is so much better. I still go to her to maintain because I overdo it, but I am in much better shape. I have been getting regular massages for a number of years now and have visited numerous massage therapists. Until I became a client of Sharlene’s, I didn’t realize that a great massage should keep my body feeling relaxed and good for longer than a day or two! Sharlene truly cares about her clients: she continually checks to make sure the pressure she applies is perfect for you and that part of your body. She listens; she doesn’t move on until YOU are feeling relief in that area.
Sharlene has begun using cupping. Cupping is gentle and helps relieve the tension. Not being a massage therapist, I wonder if this technique hasn’t helped me feel better, longer.
